Discover the harmony between nature and Mayan history on an excursion that will take you from the ancient temples of Chacchoben to the impressive Laguna de los Siete Colores in Bacalar.

The excursion itinerary begins with the arrival of your cruise ship at the port of the Costa Maya, where our team will be waiting for you with a distinctive sign from Naturaleza Bacalar Tours & Travel Experiences. From there, we will go in comfortable transport units to the Mayan ruins of Chacchoben, with a journey of approximately 50 minutes.

Upon arrival in Chacchoben, our professional native guide will take you on a 60-minute walk through the jungle to the Acropolis, the most important area of Chacchoben. Here, you will discover the secrets of this ceremonial center that flourished around 300 AD. and that it was abandoned between the years 1200 and 1450.

After exploring Chacchoben, we will head to the Laguna de los Siete Colores in Bacalar, with a transportation trip of approximately 30 minutes. Once in Bacalar, we will board a comfortable pontoon at the marina to navigate the lagoon for 90 minutes. During the tour, you will discover three open-air cenotes (cenote negro, cenote emerald, cenote cocalitos), which are an important part of the lagoon ecosystem. Plus, you can dive into the crystal-clear waters of the Pirate Channel, a historic route used by pirates in the past.

To complete this experience, you will enjoy the culinary delights of the region in a traditional food restaurant, where you can try different spicy and non-spicy sauces that will accompany your Mexican tacos.
